Real futures data in your MetaTrader, for NEXUS MATRIX 7

A small program receives E-mini S&P 500 Futures from our server, trade by trade with its order book, and stores it in a symbol called NEXUS_ES. NEXUS MATRIX then runs on that symbol exactly as it would at a futures broker. You do not need a futures account, and your trading account stays at your own broker.

Before you start

MetaTrader 5 from your broker (IC Markets or any other), installed and logged in to your account.
The file NEXUS_STREAM_v1.02.zip. It contains one program and this guide.
NEXUS MATRIX 7 already activated on this MetaTrader account. This add-on uses that licence by itself: there is no key to type, no account to create and no settings file to load.

The steps

Copy the files into MetaTrader

1. Unzip NEXUS_STREAM_v1.02.zip, for example on your Desktop.
2. In MetaTrader 5, open File › Open Data Folder. A Windows folder opens.
3. Copy the MQL5 folder from the zip into that folder. Windows asks to merge the two folders: accept. It adds one file and replaces nothing of yours.
4. Close MetaTrader 5 and open it again.

Allow the stream address

1. Open Tools › Options › Expert Advisors.
2. Tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL.
3. Double-click add new URL, type 169.58.216.50 press Enter, then click OK.
MetaTrader refuses every connection to an address that is not in this list. This is the step people forget.

Start the stream
Done
1. Open any chart. EURUSD is fine: the chart only hosts the program.
2. In the Navigator (Ctrl+N), under Expert Advisors, drag NEXUS_STREAM_CLIENT onto that chart.
3. In the window that opens, click OK. There is nothing to type: the program finds the NEXUS MATRIX licence of this account by itself. To receive another instrument than ES, write its code in InpInstruments (tab Inputs) before you click OK.

The symbol creates itself. The program creates NEXUS_ES, adds it to your Market Watch, loads the last hours of trades and opens its chart. Algo Trading can stay off: this program never places an order.

Put NEXUS MATRIX on the NEXUS_ES chart
Done
1. Go to the NEXUS_ES chart that just opened. If it did not open: File › New Chart › Custom › NEXUS › CME › NEXUS_ES.
2. In the Navigator, under Indicators, drag your NEXUS MATRIX (version 7.00 or later) onto it.
3. Click OK. NEXUS MATRIX is already activated on this account, so it starts at once.

Use the NEXUS_ES chart, not US500. On your broker's own symbol NEXUS MATRIX would only see the broker's CFD, without the exchange volume and order book.

Check that it is really live
Done
1. The panel of the stream program says LIVE twice.
2. The top bar of NEXUS MATRIX says NEXUS STREAM · LIVE and EXCH SIDE.
3. In the Toolbox (Ctrl+T), tab Experts, the first line of the program starts as below.

That is all. From now on, open MetaTrader and the stream reconnects by itself. Keep the chart that hosts the stream program open.

Optional: let the auto trader trade at your broker
1. On the same NEXUS_ES chart, drag your NEXUS MATRIX TRADER (version 5.00 or later) from Expert Advisors.
2. Set InpTradeSymbol to US500 (check the name of that symbol at your broker) and InpMode = PAPER.
The signal is computed on the future; the order goes to your broker, with your broker's own prices. Start in PAPER (simulated trades) and watch it for a few sessions before anything else. While the stream is not LIVE the trader takes no new entry and keeps managing an open position.

Other instruments

In the inputs of the stream program, write the codes you want, separated by commas: InpInstruments = ES,NQ,GC. Each code creates its own symbol (NEXUS_ followed by the code) and its own chart; up to eight at a time. The table lists the 37 instruments we publish today (2026-10-13). Many more exist: they are in INSTRUMENTS.txt of your package, with their full names. A code we are not publishing shows OFFLINE: tell us and we switch it on.

If something is wrong

cannot connect to 169.58.216.50:8443	Your network blocks this port, or our server is stopped.	Try once on another connection (a phone hotspot) and tell us the result.
NEXUS MATRIX is not activated for MT5 account ...	This MetaTrader account has no NEXUS MATRIX licence yet.	Activate NEXUS MATRIX on this account: put it on any chart and enter your key. The stream program notices within 30 seconds; nothing has to be restarted.
the NEXUS licence key ... is not valid, or access refused	The key stored for this account is not a genuine one, has expired, or the access of this account was closed.	Write to us with your MetaTrader account number.
NEXUS_ES stays SYNCING or STALE	The market is closed right now, or the source is restarting.	Check the trading hours below and wait a minute.
NEXUS_ES stays OFFLINE	We are not publishing this instrument at the moment.	Tell us which code you need.
NEXUS MATRIX says LOCKED	There is no licence key for this MetaTrader account.	Right-click the chart, Indicators List, NEXUS MATRIX, Properties, Inputs, `InpLicenseKey`. A new account needs a new key.
STREAM NO CLIENT in the top bar	The stream program is not running: its chart was closed.	Do step 3 again.
The NEXUS_ES chart is empty	It opened before the first data arrived.	Right-click the chart, Refresh.

If it still does not work, send us this file: File › Open Data Folder › MQL5 › Files › NEXUS_STREAM › client.log. It says exactly what happened.

Good to know

Trading hours. This contract trades on CME Globex from Sunday 6:00 pm to Friday 5:00 pm New York time, with a one-hour break every day at 5:00 pm. Outside its hours a symbol shows STALE: that is normal.
A small delay. The feed travels from Europe, so it is a fraction of a second behind the exchange. Nothing is dropped or merged: every trade and every change of the order book arrives, in order, with its exchange time.
Chart times. The NEXUS_ES chart uses your broker's server time, so it lines up with your other charts.
Order book. E-mini S&P 500 Futures shows 32 price levels on each side. The depth history starts when the stream connects; MetaTrader keeps none from before.
After a network cut or a restart the program reconnects and resumes where the symbol stopped.
One licence, its accounts. The stream follows your NEXUS MATRIX licence: it works on the MetaTrader accounts the licence covers, on two terminals at the same time at most.
