02 / Why it matters
Order flow is only as real as the feed under it.
The S&P 500 symbol of an FX / CFD broker carries that broker's quotes. The trades, the volume and the order book live somewhere else: on the Futures exchange. NEXUS MATRIX can draw a footprint on anything. It can only measure order flow on the market where the orders are.

MetaTrader 5 can host custom symbols. NEXUS STREAM fills one with Futures data, event by event, and NEXUS MATRIX reads it like any other symbol. Nothing is installed outside MetaTrader, and your broker account is not touched.

Depth depends on the instrument. Measured on 13 October 2026: 64 price levels for ES and NQ (32 per side), 20 for Gold (10 per side), best bid and ask only for Eurex. The others vary, up to 32 per side. The live list can change; the file INSTRUMENTS.txt of your package lists every code.

Do I need a Futures account, or another platform?
No. You keep your broker, your account and your MetaTrader 5. NEXUS STREAM adds symbols such as NEXUS_ES to that same terminal. Nothing is installed outside MetaTrader.
Which brokers does it work with?
It relies on two standard features of MetaTrader 5 for Windows: custom symbols and Expert Advisors. It does not depend on the instruments your broker offers. Our test terminal is opened at an FX / CFD broker with no Futures at all.
Is the data real? Is it delayed?
It is a CQG Futures feed: the trades and the order book of the Futures contract, not a reconstruction. The stream crosses the Internet, so it reaches your chart a fraction of a second after the exchange. Nothing is dropped or merged on the way.
Can I place orders on NEXUS_ES?
No. MetaTrader does not route orders on a custom symbol. You read the order flow on NEXUS_ES and you place your trade on your broker's own symbol (US500, for example), at your broker's prices. A Future and its CFD do not quote exactly the same price: the difference is the basis, and it moves over the life of the contract.
Does the program touch my account?
No. NEXUS_STREAM_CLIENT only receives data and writes it into the custom symbol. It never places, modifies or closes an order, and Algo Trading can stay off.
How many instruments can I follow?
Up to eight at the same time. Write the codes in one input, separated by commas: ES,NQ,GC. Each one gets its own symbol and its own chart.
What happens when the market is closed or the feed stops?
The symbol shows STALE and the chart waits. NEXUS STREAM never fills a hole with invented prices. CME Globex trades from Sunday 6:00 pm to Friday 5:00 pm New York time, with a one-hour break every day at 5:00 pm.
How much history do I get?
At the first connection the program loads the last hours of trades, so the footprint is filled right away. MetaTrader keeps no history of the order book, so the L2 heatmap starts recording when you connect, as it does on any symbol.
Is NEXUS MATRIX included?
In the €1,499 bundle, yes: NEXUS MATRIX v7 and NEXUS STREAM, both for life. The €449 offer is for traders who already have NEXUS MATRIX v7 activated on their MetaTrader account.
How many MT5 accounts can I use?
Three MT5 accounts are included in both offers. NEXUS MATRIX v7 users who need more can ask: extra accounts are added at no cost.
What does lifetime mean?
One payment, no subscription and no monthly data fee. Updates are free for life. The stream runs for as long as NEXUS STREAM is operated, and follows the trading hours of each exchange.
An instrument I trade is not on the list. Can you add it?
